Teaser :)

I watched in horror as Tom answered the call. I threw my face in my hands and collapsed down onto the kitchen counter. This was bad. I tried to block out his voice. I didn't need to hear what he was saying to know I needed to be very embarrassed.
“Asshole.” I muttered.
“Hello?” Tom didn't even bother to hide his amusement. “Emma? Yes she's here. And who may I say is calling? Simon. Right, finally. I've heard so much about you. Em doesn't shut up about you.”
I groaned, stumbling to the couch. I was so embarrassed. This was really bad. I threw myself onto the couch and buried my head in the arm
“Uh-huh. Right. Yes I understand that.” Tom nodded, his face serious, as if he was deep in the middle of an important meeting. “I do need to know what your intentions are toward my Emma. Are you planning on becoming intimate?”
“Fuck you Tom!” I screamed loudly. My face flamed. I wanted the couch to swallow me. I was going to kill Tom. It may take a while, years even, but he was going to pay for this.
“Right. Just be safe. And remember, if it's not on, it's not on.” He wandered out onto the balcony, knowing I wasn't likely to follow him out there.
Could this get any worse? I wondered how hard it would be for Tom to 'accidentally' fall over the balcony of my level 10 apartment with me still standing within confines of the apartment.
“Sure, I will put her on.” I felt the phone hit me on my back. I reached behind to grab it. I contemplated hanging up. This was beyond embarrassing.
No. That would only make things more awkward. I would have to speak to him eventually.
“Hello.” I mumbled, cringing.
“Well hello there.” He said, amused. Way too amused. He was loving this.
“Hi.” I responded, feeling embarrassed. And angry. I was so fucking angry.
“So, Tom seems like a nice guy.”
“Tom’s a fucking asshole.” I yelled, loud enough for him to hear. Tom yelled back an inaudible response. Simon chuckled.

***Excerpt***
There’s a flash of light, blindingly bright. Colored haloes obscure my vision. They dance and flicker and then disappear, leaving only a rectangle of light boxed in by the dark doorframe.

I see then that the door’s gone and in front of me are people. No…they aren’t people. They have limbs, hair, faces, but they aren’t human. After the first glance, they don’t look even remotely human. They’re pure, painful white, so bright they throw off a glare. They look like they’ve been dipped in glass, smooth and polished, but fluid. And their eyes…they’re a silvery color, like the mercury in the antique thermometer that my mom used to have at the side of the front porch.

When I was ten, I knocked that thermometer off with my wooden kendo sword, shattering the glass. The little blobs of mercury went all over the porch. I was a kid. I didn’t know better. I touched them, prodding the little balls until they joined the bigger blob. My mom swooped down on me and snatched me away, telling me it was poison. It could kill me.

I stare at the things in front of me: the Drau. I can’t look away.

Somewhere in the back of my mind, I remember Jackson talking about Medusa.
Don’t look at their eyes.

Their mercury eyes.

They’re poison.

They will kill me.

Made For You By: Vi Keeland *Dream Cast & Review*

BLURB:

Sequel to Belong to You

Jack and Syd spent a week in paradise.   It was only supposed to be a fling.  But life can be funny sometimes, and circumstances brought them back together again.   Together they seemed to have found their happy ever after.  But when Sydney is offered a chance at the career she has always wanted, she must leave Jack behind to follow her dreams.  Can their love survive long distance?  Sydney’s touring with a man every woman wants, but he only has eyes for Syd.   And an unexpected tragedy leaves Jack feeling remorseful.  Can the two find a way through to forever?

Book Excerpt

Jack shifted, easing my back onto the bed, and lifted his body over me, his forearms on either side of my head, absorbing the weight of his body.  The room was dark, but my eyes had adjusted and I could see the light in his eyes above me.  “Do you, Syd?”  He pushed a lock of my hair behind my ear as he spoke tenderly.

“I think I do.  You don’t want men looking at me.  I get it.   You don’t even notice the way that women look at you when you walk by.  I get the urge to smack them when I see them taking more than a peek.  So I can’t imagine that I would be happy if you were on a thirty foot display, perhaps with these sinful abs showing.”  I rubbed my handed across his hard abdominal muscles.

Jack was quiet for a moment before he spoke.  “It’s more than that, Syd.  Yes, the thought of men looking at your beautiful face and body up there makes me want to stay outside the coliseum and hurt every man that takes more than a friendly look, but it’s not just that.”

Jack’s eyes searched mine, looking for something before he continued.  “You’re mine Syd.  And I don’t want to share.  Not a picture, not a smile, not a touch.   All of it is mine.  Only mine.  You were made for me.  That sexy mouth belongs to only me.  I wake up every morning craving that body that wiggles beneath me.  That body that surrenders as soon as it’s filled with me.  It’s mine and I need it so bad it physically hurts when I reach over on the bed and find your warm body isn’t there.  So, yeah, I’m not happy about the picture. But it’s the rest of it that’s killing me.”

The Author's Dream Cast

JACK

Yep, he’s the cover model from both books, but Daniel’s also an actor.  I couldn’t imagine anyone else playing Jack!

Sienna – Megan Fox

Justin – Jared Leto

AUTHOR Bio and Links:

I was born and raised in New York. I've been told more than once that I have a New York accent. It is pronounced cawfee, not coffee, right? I am one of six children, and come from a happy, albeit dysfunctional, family of "steps, halves, ours, theirs and his" children. I have three children, two girls and a boy. My son is the oldest and is a godsend. The girls, well, they are tweens and make me drink too much wine on occasion.

I am a boring attorney by day, and an exciting smut author by night! I actually consider myself a romance author, but my books definitely have steam in them, so I guess I am technically a romance-erotica author. I am also a HUGE reader and love Sylvia Day, Kristen Ashely, and EL James.

After years of thinking about writing my own book, I finally took the leap in 2012. I published my first book, First Thing I See, in January 2013, and was thrilled at the overwhelming success! Belong to You was published on April 4, 2013, and climbed its way to number 9 in the Amazon Erotica Best Seller's list in its first five days! The sequel to Belong to You is due out on July 1st, 2013.

My Interview With Kahlen :)

-->
Tell us a little about you : )
Well, I’m single, I have one daughter and thee dogs. (All three, spoiled rotten).  I grew up in the Midwest and attended an Ivy League university.  Writing sort of snuck up on me when I was marketing/networking for a business venture and I absolutely hate talking about myself (if you can’t already tell by this answer).

Which actors do you see playing the main characters of this trilogy?
Wow, that’s hard to say.  Readers have created a fan page for Ryan on Facebook and generally they put Brad Cooper, Jensen Ackles or Channing Tatum in his role.   It’s really hard to say whom I’d picture in my own mind.  It would depend on who was the right age and who could be believable portraying so many extremes in emotion.

So, is this the last we are ever going to read of Ryan and Julia? (Just wondering)
Um, I’m sure I’ll do outtakes in the future.  It’s been requested that I write their first 4 years, Ellie & Harris’ , or Aaron & Jenna’s stories, too.  It just depends on if I feel I can put together a plot that I feel is good enough to tell a good story.  Never say never, but it’s not planned right now.

Are you working on anything now? If yes, what? :)
I’m always working!  I have another book/series that is about ready to publish, but I’m struggling with whether to make it into a series or just one really huge book.  It’s called After Dark and the main characters are Alexander (Alex) Avery and Angeline (Angel) Hemming.  Then another that I know will be a series will follow After Dark.  Plus, I’m putting together an anthology of short stories with 12 other authors to benefit The Amanda Todd Legacy Foundation (100% of proceeds to support them) that we hope will publish in October.

When did you first realize that you wanted to become a writer?
When my readers told me that I was one. :)

Is there a place you especially like to write?
I have a desk and hidey-hole complete with music and my dogs at my feet.  I write mostly there, but I do sometimes haul my laptop up to my room and write in bed all night.

For aspiring writers, do you have any advice for them?
Tell your story and don’t let other’s convince you to make changes to it that you know in your heart aren’t right.  Also, have complete faith in yourself and your readers… Take the leap, but only when you truly feel your story is ready to be published.

Have you read any books lately? Which ones?
Yes, I’m reading Jessica Sorenson, Christina Lauren, Raine Miller, Madeline Sheehan and Kristen Ashley at the moment.  (I have a TBR list a mile long).

Do you have a favorite film(s)? What is it?
Wow. I am a big movie buff and like so many different genres.  I remember loving Lady Hawk when I was a kid, Dead Again (awesome) and Jagged Edge (will scare the crap out of you).  Lately, I loved Man of Steel, Iron Man (series), The Lucky One and in the past few years, Pride & Prejudice, and Twilight Saga (of course).

Film you are looking forward to see in theaters?
I just saw The Heat and Man of Steel last week.  Loved them.  I have to see Monster’s University because Monster’s Inc was Olivia’s very first movie in a theater when she was 2.

Thank you so much for taking the time to interview me.

XO
~Kahlen

AUTHOR BIO
Christine Duval has been writing creatively since the fourth grade when she penned her first short story entitled "London Terror," about the murder of a cat in London. She grew up on the North Shore of Long Island and lived in Italy twice as a teenager: once when she was sixteen in Bologna and in a small town on the Adriatic Sea called Porto San Giorgio; then in Florence when she was nineteen. Her parents wondered if she'd ever come back.

College was spent in the Finger Lakes: the inspiration for Colman, Milton, and Kashong Lake in Freshman Forty. It really is cold, wet and grey there - OFTEN! But when the sun comes out, boy is it pretty.

Life eventually took her to New York's Upper West Side, the place she'll always consider home. Though for now she resides in New Jersey with her family and a very spoiled love bird who can't decide if he's a boy or she's a girl.
