Event organized by: AToMR Tours

A new adult romance novel by New York Times & USA Today Bestselling Author H.M. Ward

Life sucks. And, as soon as Sidney picks up the pieces something always knocks her back onto her butt. It's never pretty, but this time is different. This time pretty isn't even the right word.

Peter is the personification of perfection. It's like he fell off his angel perch in purgatory, because let's face it--any guy that hot has got to be naughty. He was probably sent here to ruin her life.

Peter is beyond beautiful with his sexy blue eyes, dark hair, and toned body. Add in his charming wit and Peter is everything Sidney ever wanted in a man, but when things get hot and heavy Peter shows her the door. Sidney takes the walk of shame and leaves. It's the end of the worst blind date ever. Her life couldn't possibly reach higher levels of suckage, but it does.

The next morning everything comes crashing down. The insanely hot guy from last night, the one that saw her half naked, is teaching at the front of the class room.

Genre:  New Adult Romance Novel, approx. 325 pages

Book Excerpt

He watches me as I try to crank the engine. It doesn’t start. It doesn’t catch. I look at the little gauges and notice the battery.  He’s standing next to me now. “So, you’re a mechanic?”
I shake my head, “I just pretend to be. It makes for more interesting evenings.” I grin at him, not sure what’s come over me. I never talk random guys, but it’s not like he’s random anymore, right? Hot guy’s face falls and I realize that he believes me. “I’m just kidding. I know a little about cars. For instance, I know this one isn’t going anywhere tonight.”
“And why’s that?”
“Your alternator’s dead. Either that or you shoved a hamster up the tailpipe—” My face falls. I wonder if he did something stupid. Guys do all sorts of stupid things to talk to girls. I get out of his car and slam the door. Then, I tilt my head and cross my arms over my chest. “Tell me that that isn’t the reason the car won’t start.”
He laughs and presses his hand to his chest, shocked that I’d say such a thing. “No, I didn’t do anything like that! And correct me if I’m wrong, but you were the one who came onto me first. I didn’t get here early and sabotage my own car just so I could meet a girl, who I didn’t know was coming.” The way he smiles is contagious. He runs his hands through his dark hair, like he wishes he could say more, but he doesn’t. The corners of his mouth curve and he gives me a look that makes tingles slip over my skin.
I step toward him, smiling too wide. “I did not come onto you!”
“You did. Right back in there.” He points toward the restaurant. His face is serious, all smooth features and big blue eyes. “You sat at my table and made me very uncomfortable. I haven’t had such a beautiful woman overtly hit on my like that before. It was quite embarrassing.”
My smile is making it hard for my mouth to hang open in shock. It keeps opening and then my grin snaps my lips shut. “I did not!” I know he’s teasing me, but I can’t stop. I don’t want it to stop and I realize that I’m actually laughing.
His arms are folded over his chest. He taps a finger to his lip like he’s remembering. “You did. You ordered wine and just assumed that I’d put out. Really Sidney, you’ll have to learn to control yourself a little better from now on.” He looks at me out of the corner of his eye, as he glances at his car.
I know he’s baiting me, but I can’t ignore him. I can’t walk away and I don’t want to. He smiles at me with those wicked lips. It makes me want to kiss him, hard. I change tactics. I want to throw him so far off balance that he falls over. I step in front of him and look up at him from under my lashes. “Okay, you caught me. I like you. I want you. I can’t keep my hands off of you. But tell me this, beautiful man; why should I bother controlling myself when I can tell that you want me so much?” Slowly, I step closer to him. Our bodies are a breath apart as I look up into his eyes.
He’s smiling and manages to say, “You shouldn’t.” He watches me, waiting to see what I’ll do. I feel my heart pounding. His eyes drift to my lips and back to my eyes. Every inch of my body flickers to life. I want to feel his hands on me. I want his lips on my mouth. From that look in his eye, I know he wants it too.
I lean in closer, teasing him. I feel his breath on my lips. His scent fills my head and I breath him in. “Are you always this irresistible?”
“Are you always this coy? Do you just flirt, leaving your lips way too close to a man that desperately wants to kiss you?”

Top Ten Tuesday *4* [top ten books I read before I was a blogger]

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where each week we get a new topic for a top ten list.

This week's Topic:

top ten characters i would crush on if i were also a fictional character

This might be a long post, because I have a few more to add to my list, but actually they are all cluttered together :) Anyway, when I saw this week’s topic, my mind first went blank, but then I went to my old reading lists, from a couple years ago, before I started blogging (in August 2011!) I found some books that I seriosuly forgot I had read, and there's some that I remember quite well. It's so interesting, because I see that I read a lot of historical fiction and some Chick-Lit, and it's just interesting to see that I did not read much stories that include characters my age. There's New Adult, which is so freaking awesome, but even a few years ago, when I was 17 through 19, I was craving to read characters my own age, so I do now see myself reading much more New Adult & some Adult, but here's what I did read before August, 2011 :)

- I love Chick-Lit, I do. I love the humor, sometimes it's quirky but really cute, the sometimes realistic situations, and the HEA love, that usually occurs. It's just always a fun read. Some Authors that I read so much, before Blogging, were Emily Giffin (She's one of my favorite Authors!!) Elizabeth Noble, Harriet Evans, Jill Mansell (love her novels!) & Sophie Kinsella, another great writer!

Some of their novels include, Love The One You're With, Something Blue (love this one, seriously, where's the film already?!) Take A Chance On Me, Remember Me?, Can You Keep A Secret?, The Reading Group & A Hopeless Romantic

(Click The Covers To The Goodreads Pages)

- This novel, Commencement By: J. Courtney Sullivan was partially set in a college setting (at Smith College) and it's a really, really good story, with believable characters, that have some realistic situations, and each of the four women just have different personalities, different aspirations etc. I think this came out in 2009, and I remember reading it when it first published :)

- I was in high school, maybe going into my sophomore or junior year, when I read all four of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and yes I saw the two movies, and read that fifth novel, that came out a couple summers ago. I just loved reading about four different characters, and they're, to me, a good feeling type story. There's also My Name is Memory, and I think I read this my freshman year in college, but anyway, this novel looks into the subject of Reincarnation, and anyway, that subject interests me, and to me, it fit well into the story. I liked Daniel a lot, and it was just a good one. All I hope, is that there is a second book, serisouly, because ahh there's an ending that just left me with that "Whoa what?!" type of feeling, so yeah ;)

- I love historical fiction, and haven't read that much lately, but it's a genre that just makes me happy to learn stuff that may or may not have happened, but I love that what if anticipation so here's a few covers below of some of my favorite. Oh, and The Last Queen By: C.W. Gortner is mega awesome in my opinion. I read my senior year of high school, and it deals with Juana of Castile, who was a character that grew on me, and was from the 15th Century. I even researched about her, and she was called crazy, because some say that she killed her husband, as he was poisoned, but there's other theories too, but oh my that Philip, would definitely be considered a bad boy in current modern stories, but he's a bad one, and they do fall in love, and it's a tragic love story, and I loved every freaken page; it was that good! Ok enough of my ranting....

- I love Curtis Sittenfeld's writing. I have read all three of her novels, and her fourth is coming out this summer, and I'm so psyched! I already requested via Edelweiss & hope I'm approved :) Her stories are all really different; one is in a boarding school/high school setting; another is sorta College, but also steps in the shoes of a 'New Adult' and then there's one that is in the perspective of a young girl, all the way to being a middle aged woman, that's also happens to be First Lady.

- And lastly is Palto Alto By: James Franco. Ok, I have to admit, that I have a mega crush on Franco :) You can ask some of my best friends. Anyway, this novel are an assortment of short stories of coming of age stories, that surround young adults, from Palto Alto, California. I thought they were really good, and yeah I wanted to read more, from a few of the stories, so it twas a very good one...and I wish I did not read this one from the library, because if I had my own copy, I would have had him autograph it....I couldn't resist, here's a Pic of him and I a few years back at a film festival in my hometown, and ahh it was a really cool moment for some of my friends and I. So yeah, there was that chance to get an autograph, oh well, next time :)

Ok, that's all I got for now :) Comment below with your link because I would love to see what you all post!

Know Me Better *4*

I'm a private person, but once in a while, I'll participate in this fun meme: Know Me Better. It's a weekly meme hosted by Kathy @ I Am A Reader, Not A Writer. Each week she will pick 5 questions off of her author interview lists to answer. She invites you to share your answers to these questions as well :)

This Week's 5 Qs

What is your favorite flavor of jelly beans?
- I don't eat these usually, but I suppose Grape is a good one lol I can't think of any other flavors...oh I do remember root-beer though.
What size shoe do you wear?
- Umm it's usually a 9 or 9.5.
What is your favorite cereal?
- Hmmm I do sometimes like Rice Krispies, if I go to Vons or Raphs, but I live really close to a Trader Joes, so I usually get something with raisins or this Vanilla Almond Cluster one...it's so good! :)
Have you ever cut your own hair?
- Hmmm you know, I don't think so. I've always had someone else cut it; I guess I don't trust myself, if I mess up haha
Do you sing in the shower?
Oh yeah, definitely. I either have my itunes or Pandora on high volume.

Now, what about you? Leave your link to your post, and I'll definitely visit :)
